How does the pulp become infected?

Infection is mostly caused by bacteria penetrating the tooth enamel and into the pulp. In the presence of tooth decay, cavities can form and allow bacteria to enter the central pulp chamber.

What is a re-root canal treatment?
A re-root canal treatment is a procedure used when the initial attempt to save the tooth has failed.
During a root canal treatment, a dentist may place a tiny post into the canal to support a new dental crown. While complications from a root canal are rare, this post may become problematic, and your dentist will have to carry out a post-removal procedure to rectify the condition.
